Day 9 Friday Nov 3 2023 (Part 2) - my free & easy (DIY) visit together with my brother Weng's walkabout in Guangzhou city !
My 2nd Metro train ride Line 3 Zhujiang New Town Station > Metro Yantang (transit) > Metro Line 6 Haizhu Square Station (CNY3 = Rm2)
12) Haizhu Bridge, Guangzhou - an iron bridge, total length is 356m, the 1st bridge to be built across the Pearl River in Guangzhou, opened in 1933.
13) Jiefang Bridge, Guangzhou - connects the Haizhu District with Yuexiu District, one of the 9 bridges connecting Haizhu with downtown Guangzhou & the business districts, opened in 1998.
14) Pearl River, Guangzhou - an extensive river system in southern China, 2,400km long, river mouth is South China Sea.
15) Downtown Haizhu District as viewed from the Haizhu Bridge
16) Haizhu Square, Guangzhou - a public square located in Yuexiu District near the riverfront, the square & its environs were named as one of the Eight Sights of Guangzho.
17) Guangzhou Liberation Statute & Guangzhou Hotel, Haizhu Square - built in 1959.
18) Highsun Plaza - a shopping mall in Haiyin Shopping District, Guangzhou
My 3rd Metro train ride Line 6 Haizhu Square Station > Yuexiu Park (CNY2 = Rm1.30)
19) Yuexiu Park, Guangzhou - the largest park in downtown Guangzhou, covering an area of 212 acres, made up of 3 artificial lakes & 7 hills of Yuexiu Mountain hence the name.
20) Five Ram Sculpture, Yeuxiu Park, Guangzhou - a popular landmark in Guangzhou.
21) Museum of The Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King, Guangzhou - the oldest & largest Han tomb with the most funerary objects in Lingnan (South of Nanling Mountain), covers 14,000 sq metres with 10 exhibition halls, free admission for seniors above 70s, normal adult entrance fee is CNY10 !

My 4th Metro train ride from Yeuxiu Park (Line 2) > Jiahewanggang (transit to Line 3) > Renhe (CNY6 = Rm4)
After 4 Metro train rides & 5-6 hrs of walkabout in Zhuijiang New Town, Haizhu Square & Yeuxiu Park & upon our arrival at the Renhe Metro station (near our hotel), both of us walked into a nearby wan tan noodle chain restaurant & each of us savored a bowl of wan tan noodle (CNY15 = Rm9.90) - my most favorite noodle dish in Guangzhou !
Day 10 (Nov 4 2023 Final Day) - After the dinner, both of us rested in our hotel lounge (4th floor) together with the rest of our tour members before boarding a hotel MPV van (at 23.00) to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport for our return flight (departing 03.10) to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Needless to say, homecoming mood filled the air after a 10 days 8 nights whirlwind package tour of Guilin, Yangzhou, Longsheng, Lipu, Hazhou, Zhaoqing & Gaungzhou (daily morning call & hotel check in in the late evening / night, average of 10 -12 hours on the roads, sightseeing & eating etc) ! Home Sweet Home at last ! Our group arrived at the KLIA1 Airport at 07.15 (Saturday Nov 4 2023) thus ending our 10 days 8 nights exciting package tour visit to Guilin, Yangshuo, Longsheng, Lipu, Hezhou & Guangzhou ! To all our tour members, thank you all for the friendship & I hope we would cross our path once again in another corner of the earth in a not too distant future like what the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport's slogan said " Cross the world with you together " !

Bought home some Chinese goodies (CNY 200 = Rm132) from a Yangshuo supermarket & our local tour guide !
