Saturday Oct 14 2023 - taking a cue from a local newspaper reporting about an opening of a new mall in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur, I took a Rapid KL LRT train ride (Rm2.50 = US$0.53 senior citizen) from SS15, Subang Jaya (my home place) to MRT Pusat Bandar Damansara (via a transit in Pasar Seni) & visited the Pavilion Damansara Heights Mall.

" The Three Golden Rams measuring 4.8m tall, 3.7m long & 3m wide on the Level 3 of the Pavilion Damansara Heights Mall has entered into The Malaysian Book of Records as the largest statute in a shopping mall in Malaysia.
Three Golden Rams stand as magnificent hallmarks of auspiciousness & good fortune. steadfast symbol of leadership, determination, virility & protection. The number reflects harmony, good luck & stability. Three Golden Rams united in a commanding upward path bestowing continuous glory & triumph "
2) The Golden Rooster Fountain - Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur
" The largest Golden Rooster Fountain outside of the main entrance of the Pavilion Bukit Jalil Mall was awarded by Malaysia Book of Records.
Clad in gold, the inscription said this iconic symbol is the universal representation of hope & optimism. The Rooster's crow which could be heard during the opening gambit, is said to herald the awakening of a new dawn, representing vigilance, courage as well as a harmonious & prosperous future "
3) The Pavilion Crystal Fountain - Pavilion KL, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur
" The Pavilion Crystal Fountain located at the main entrance to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, a major shopping mall. The 3 bowls are meant to represent Malaysia's multiracial & multicultural people living harmoniously in unity. The bowl rising up are supposed to symbolise the growing aspirations of the people. The Hibiscus features on the bowls as the National Flower of Malaysia. The water converging from all directions & dripping back down into the bowls represents endless blessings & prosperity.
Conceptualized by Pavilion KL in collaboration with Liuligongfang, an expert in artistic glassware, the fountain stands 3.6m in height & 6m width. It has been acknowledged by the Malaysia Book of Records as the tallest Liuli Crystal Fountain in the country "
Saturday Oct 7 2023 - Family get-together lunch in F4 Fish Head Restaurant, USJ, Subang Jaya, Selangor in conjunction with my Singapore brother Hong's family members (Jennifer & Bryan) visit to Kuala Lumpur, a table of 13, ordered from menu 8 Chinese "tai chow" dishes + rice + 1 pot of Chinese tea, totalled Rm356 (US$76), a treat from KM, sister Inn & Mei. Good Time ! Good Food ! Good Company !

Sunday Oct 8 2023 - meet up with my Singapore brother Hong's family for a breakfast & coffee chat in Brickfields followed by a Rapid KL LRT visit to The Gardens Mall, Mid-Valley City, Kuala Lumpur
1) Breakfast with my Singapore brother Hong's family in Sri Paandi Restaurant, Jalan Tun Sambanthan, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, I love dosa, my favourite Indian breakfast dish !
2) Walkabout in Little India, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur - a leisure Sunday morning walk in Little India with my brother Hong's family from Singapore prior & after our breakfast.
3) Methodist Church, Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur - an old building of a Tamil Methodist church established in 1896 & rebuilt in 1960, 1st Methodist church in Kuala Lumpur.
4) Vivekananda Ashrama, Jalan Tun Sambanthan, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur - an institution started by Jaffna (Sri Lankan) Tamil immigrants in 1904 in honour of Swami Vivekananda, an Indian Hindu monk who was a key figure in the introduction of the Indian philosophies of Vedanta & Yoga to the Western World.
6) Coffee time with my Singapore brother Hong in Nonya Colors cafe in NU Sentral after the Brickfields Kuala Lumpur visit. I enjoyed the hot coffee served with a strong sense of smell & aroma !
7) Cityscape of Kuala Lumpur near KL Sentral area as viewed from Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral Hotel, Jalan Sentral, Kuala Lumpur Sentral.
