Malaysia (Post Covid-19 My Staycation in Kuala Lumpur - Chinese New Year Festive Season) Chinese New Year Eve Jan 21 2023

May The New Year Brings You
Always in Good Health!
Hopping Into The New Year of Rabbit!
CNY Goodies!

" Challenge the body, activate your mind when travelling "

Having done most of the CNY preparations (a modest one & keeping the traditions very much alive) plus spring cleaning at home & as done in the past, I took a leisure LRT / MRT morning train ride on Friday Jan 20 & Saturday 21 2023 (Chinese New Year eve) to downtown Kuala Lumpur city just to get a feel of the CNY mood & atmosphere in major shopping malls & popular touristy places in the city centre ie Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Fahrenheit 88, Bukit Bintang, Petaling Street Market, Kwai Chai Hong, Suria KLCC, AK-Avenue, Petronas Twin Towers, Central Market / Kasturi Walk & closer to my home place, Empire Shopping Gallery.

During this time of the year, you will probably see "red" greeting you in most of the shopping malls, touristy places & in homes ie red hanging lanterns, red mandarin orange cartons, red festive decors, red packets (ang pow) & envelopes, words of CNY greeting in red background, red Spring couplets, people wearing red, lion dance costume in red & yellow, red wine, food hampers wrapped in red, gift packs in red, red candlelight for praying, red banners, "balik kampung" driving a new sporty red car, pets including bunnies dressed in red, red fire crackers - the sea of red simply symbolises good luck & good fortune! As this year is the Year of Rabbit, everyone is "hopping" good times especially in travelling! Tourism & Travel industry no longer seeing "red" as I observed more visitors & foreign tourists thronging shopping malls & touristy places / sites ..... happy sightseeing & the Cantonese likes to say it is time to "go eat wind"!

Wishing everyone a Happy & Joyful Chinese Lunar New Year. Take care & always in good health!
