" My Staycation No 7 (Transition to Endemic Phase) free & easy solo visit & Jalan Jalan (Walkabout) in Taman Maluri & Cochrane, Kuala Lumpur (Aeon Shopping Centre, Sunway Velocity Mall, MyTown & Ikea) on Sunday May 8 2022 (09.30 > 13.30), travelling by Rapid KL LRT & MRT trains from SS15, Subang Jaya, my 40th outdoor trips after a National Lockdown (Movement Control Order / Emergency) imposed by the Malaysian Government on May 6 2021 due to a spike in Covid-19 cases; a National Vaccination campaign is currently being implemented by the Malaysian Government (Phase 1 started in Feb 2021), as at Feb 5 2022, a total of 22.9 million individuals or 97.9% of the adult population in Malaysia have completed their Covid-19 vaccinations; Malaysia is now under the Transition to Endemic Phase starting from April 1 2022, an exit strategy that could allow Malaysians to return to near-normal life after nearly over 2 years of battling the pandemic "

Travel itinerary (3 train rides): SS15, Subang Jaya > Pasar Seni (transit) > Aeon Maluri > Cochrane > Pasar Seni (transit) > SS15, Subang Jaya (approx 44km round trip)

Sunday May 8 2022 - though Hari Raya Adilfitri (Malay New Year) had ended on Thursday May 5 but I still had the Hari Raya mood in me hence this 4 in 1 weekend visit to 4 major shopping malls in Taman Maluri & Cochrane, Kuala Lumpur (my last visit was in Dec 2019) ! As all these places are closely linked to MRT stations, so I was able to do the window shopping & admiring the Hari Raya Adilfitri festive season colorful decor (before dismantling in coming days) in each of these malls with considerable ease ! Another small LIFE pleasure & productive weekend for me realising that this coming Monday (May 9), the long public holiday & vacation is finally over & everyone will be back (from their hometowns or kampung) to work & resume their normal life once again ! 

My 1st Rapid KL LRT train ride from SS15, Subang Jaya > Pasar Seni (transit) > Aeon Maluri (Rm2.70=US$0.60, senior 50% discount)

1) Aeon Taman Maluri Shopping Centre - newly opened spacious shopping mall featuring a grocery store, various retailers & a food court with many stalls, nearest MRT station is Aeon Maluri, my 1st visit !  

2) Sunway Velocity Mall, Lingkaran SV, Maluri, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur 

Sunway Velocity Mall - a "Mammoth" named "Victor" made solely using mild steel rods & sheets, weighing 2 tonnes after 5 months of works by Infantino Fernades from India, now a Resident Artist with the Sunway Group.

MyTOWN Hari Raya Adilfitri (Malay New Year) festive season decor - a moon-inspired centrepiece at the entrance to greet visitors & a Hari Raya Adilfitri festive decor (kampung house setting) at the Central Court.  

4) IKEA Cheras, Jalan Cochrane, Kuala Lumpur - Scandinavian chain selling ready-to-assemble furniture plus housewares, in a warehouse-like space, IKEA complex is linked to MyTown, the 1st Malaysian IKEA store was established in 1996, 26 years ago !
