" LIFE is made up of small pleasures. Happiness is made up of these tiny successes. The big one come too infrequently. And if you don't collect all these tiny successes, the big ones don't really mean anything "

272 rainbow steps in Batu Caves, Selangor vs 1,100 steps in Panorama Hill (Peak) Sungei Lembing, Pahang - a small win for a 72 year old senior traveller in this Pahang trip ! How often you see rainbows ? When it rains, look for rainbows, when it's dark, look for stars ! LIFE is always full of challenges !

My Good Old Days - my solo free & easy visit to Tianmen Mountain or Heaven's Gate Mountain, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, China; 999 steps to Heaven Door, a 30 meters wide cave like a water-eroded hole between 2 peaks (the highest hole of its sort in the world), hard & tiresome climb (I was then 60 years old) - what a big challenge ! When the going gets tough, the tough get going especially if the steps are narrow, wet & slippery when drizzling ! (Sept 2010)
