" My Staycation & Jalan Jalan (Walkabout) free & easy visit (07.00>13.00) together with my wife & sisters to Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Sepang & Sungei Pelek, Selangor on Sunday March 20 2022, travelling by my own vehicle (self drive) from SS17, Subang Jaya > Taman Equine (picked up my sisters) > Putrajaya & return, my 33rd outdoor trip after a National Lockdown (Movement Control Order / Emergency) imposed by the Malaysian Government on May 6 2021 due to a spike in Covid-19 cases; a National Vaccination campaign is currently being implemented by the Malaysian Government (Phase 1 started in Feb 2021), as at Feb 5 2022 a total of 22.9 million individuals or 97.9% of the adult population in Malaysia have completed their Covid-19 vaccinations, Selangor (my home state) is now under National Recovery Phase 4 (NRP4) starting from Monday Oct 11 2021 hence the Malaysian Government has eased restrictions allowing individuals with vaccination certificate or card for inter-state travels, dine-in restaurants, hotel accommodations & homestays, outdoor sport & activities etc "

Sunday March 20 2022 - My wife & elder sister have not been to Cyberjaya & Sungei Pelek, Selangor hence this Sunday weekend is a customised visit to fulfil their wishes of seeing the various touristy places along the way in Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Sepang & Sungei Pelek, Selangor ! Another great Sunday & a small life pleasure for me and my family members for this weekend visit (observing SOPs etc) amidst a Covid-19 & Omicron endemic ! Comes April 1 2022 (after 2 years of battling Covid-19), Malaysia will enter the "Transition to Endemic" phase, with all restrictions on business operating hours removed & prayer activities allowed without physical distancing ! Vaccinated Travel Lane via air & land including cross-border with neighboring countries ie Singapore & Thailand will also be opened - no more quarantine & no more testing for the fully vaccinated before & after travel ! What a great piece of news especially for passionate travellers !

1) China-Malaysia Friendship Garden, Lebuh Sentosa, Presint 4, Putrajaya, Federal Territory - built to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between China & Malaysia, officially opened on June 2 2015, overlooking the garden is the stylish Seri Saujana Bridge, a symmetric cable-stayed through-arch bridge, you can jog from the bridge to this China-Malaysia Friendship Garden. In March 2021 (during the Movement Control period), together with my brother & sisters, my group visited the Selangor-Japan Friendship Garden in Shah Alam, Selangor

2) Royal Floria (Anjung Floria), Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Prinsint 4, Putrajaya - next to the China Malaysia Friendship Garden - the venue for Malaysia's leading annual flower & garden festival, best time to visit is when the festival event is on.
3) Pantai Floria, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Prisint 4, Putrajaya - a new intercity artificial beach in Putrajaya, Federal Territory, the site was once a marshland dominated by rubber & palm estates, a great place for family outing especially during the weekends !
4) Obama Oval, Persiaran APEC, Cyberjaya, Sepang, Selangor - named after American President Barack Obama, located at a compound in MaGIC (Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre) which was officially opened in 2014 by former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak & his counterpart US President, Barack Obama in conjunction of his visit to Malaysia then.
5) Dash Box Hotel, APEC, Cyber 8, Cyberjaya - a 4 star futuristic hotel located in the heart of Cyberjaya & an integral part of the MaGIC Village community, funky hotel made of shipping containers, March 2022 weekend indicative room tariff (double) is Rm250 - Rm300 (US$59 -US$70), amenities include a outdoor swimming pool, trendy restaurant, free wifi, a gym etc.
6) Taman Tasik (Lake Gardens), Persiaran Semarak Api, Cyber 4, Cyberjaya - a gorgeous lake side spot for jogging, cycling & family picnic.
7) HL Dragon Fruit Eco Farm, Jalan Besar, Batu Satu, Sungei Pelek, Sepang District, Selangor - Malaysia' 1st Dragon fruit eco tourism farm, Malaysia 1st largest Dragon fruit shaped structure awarded by the Malaysia's Book of Records, an interesting & close up dragon fruit farm visit, the HL Restaurant & Cafe has a menu serving a variety of cuisines & beverages using dragon fruit as a base ingredient ! Freshly harvested dragon fruit on sale at the farm & my sisters bought a few pieces home.
8) Jeti Sirip Biru, Jalan Kijeng, Kampung Bagan Lalang, Sungei Pelek, Selangor - a small fishing village, boat hire to nearby boathouses to do fishing or river cruise etc
9) Pantai Bagan Lalang, Sepang, Selangor - the only beach in Sepang, nearby is the Avani Gold Coast Resort.

Makan Makan (Eating) March 20 2022 - Group lunch (Rm47=US$11 for 5 people, a treat from my sisters) in Sungei Pelek Rojak Mee, Kampung Baharu, Sungei Pelek, Selangor - each of us savoured a plate of rojak mee (Rm6=US$1.40) & a side dish of fish ball soup (Rm6) & dried soy sauce yellow mee (Rm6) + a herbal drink. Just a simple local favourite noodle dish & been there done that !
