Last Sunday, our group visited the World of Phalaenopsis (Orchids) in Ulu Yam, Batang Kali, Selangor, it was a beautiful & charming visit; as for this Selangor-Japan Garden visit this Saturday, we were equally impressed with the lush greeneries in this 6 acres garden making our visit a most pleasant one !

Saturday March 27 2021 (09.15) - Qingming prayers with my brother & sisters in Kwong Tong Cemetery Pagoda Kwong Yee, Bukit Seputeh, Kuala Lumpur; due to MCO & travel restrictions, there was a noticeable drop in a number of families showing up to perform the traditional worships rites for their ancestors & departed ones in this year Qingming Festival !

Thursday March 25 2021 (11.15) - Qingming Festival (Remembrance of Ancestors Day or Tombs Sweeping Day) falls on Sunday April 4 2021, an important observance for people of Chinese heritage in Malaysia. The main worship activities involve cleaning of ancestors's tombs by family members & close relatives, say prayers for their dearly parted & giving them various ritual offerings. It was belief that by burning a Qingming offering at the cemetery or memorial at the grave site, the deceased can make use of these things in the other world ! Today, together with my wife & my elder son, my family members paid a visit to Kwong Tong Cemetery Pagoda Kwong Yee, Bukit Seputeh, Kuala Lumpur and offer our prayers to my mum, dad & two of my brothers (Yuen & Kheong) who were cremated & their urns are housed in Pagoda Kwong Yee. Due to Covid-19 & MCO, there should be no more than 6 visitors per group present at the same time with an allotted time of 45 minutes for worship rites, elderly people over 70 years are discouraged to attend & only 2 vehicles permitted to enter each site. Entries to columbarium (storage of funeral urns) building are allowed during the weekdays but not on weekends under the present SOP ruling !

Thursday March 25 2021 (12.00) - Muzium Di-Raja (Royal Museum), after the Qingming prayer to my parents & brothers in Kwong Tong Cemetery Pagoda Kwong Yee, I paid a short visit to Muzium Di- Raja & took a few pictures from the outside of the main gate of this former King's Palace (Istana Negara); this Royal Museum is now opened to public, entrance fee for adults is Rm5 & senior citizens Rm3.
