Day 7 Saturday 9 Nov 2019 continued our free & easy walkabout in Shucheng Shopping Mall & Nanping Pedestrian Street; time to do some last minute shopping of Chinese goodies as gifts for families, relatives & friends etc
1) Using our free & easy time walking around the Underground Shucheng Shopping Mall, we took the opportunity to pop into a supermarket & bought a few packs of dried persimmons as both of us enjoyed eating this Chinese goodies !
2) Hong Kong style dessert - my wife saw this Uncle Restaurant at the Underground Shopping mall offering Hong Kong style hot & cold dessert so each of us ordered a bowl of authentic Hong Kong flavor hot sweet dessert (a sliced of papaya & snow ears mixed) (CNY19=Rm11.40) - really great taste !
3) Dinner at Weilong Hotel, Kunming, Yunnan - both me & Thomson Tham, one of our tour members enjoyed a round of cool Harbin beer as this is the last of the dinner meal for this 8 day 7 nights package tour; come tomorrow afternoon, all of us will be flying home and look forward to having a simple home cooked meal in our home place ! I think I had enough of eating hotel food for the last 7 days !
4) After the dinner, together with Thomson's family group, both my wife & myself took an evening stroll to Jinmabiji to get a feel of the night life in this surrounding area.
5) After the Jinmabiji visit, my wife chose to retire & rest in the hotel so she did not join our group to visit Nanping Pedestrian Street. Our group bought some Chinese goodies from Carrefour Supermarket mainly red dates, dried grapes & persimmons etc. Others bought some winter wears offering good discount rate ! I went back to the hotel at 21.30 and retired to bed after a hot bath !
