The world currently has 1,092 (as of 2019) UNESCO World Heritage sites. For a traveler to visit all the UNESCO sites, this appears to be a tall order or near impossible to achieve in our life time ! If you are able to visit 80% of the world's UNESCO sites, I salute you as a "Super" traveler !
Italy currently has the highest number of UNESCO sites ie 55 (as of 2019) same as China which also has 55. Spain has 48, Germany 46 & France 41.
To date (as of 2019), I had visited a total of 80 countries and the number of UNESCO sites I visited thus far is 161 (15%) ! Out of the 55 UNESCO sites in China, I had in recent years visited 39 of them. My dreams of seeing a number of the UNESCO World Heritage sites have been fulfilled to a certain content and here are the pictures of the sites I saw & visited in my wonderful years of travelling , prior and after retirement ...
So travel with a road map of UNESCO sites and carry a Marco Polo spirit in your backpack and use the matrix of M (motivation) + B (belief) + F (focus) = C (consequence) to help realized your dreams ! The outcome will be a delicious one !
