  2. For my KL to Cameron Highlands trip, I bought a bus ticket from the Bdr Tasik Selantan & boarded a Unititi bus. You can also buy the bus tickets online in advance - www.easybook.com and pick you the date & departure time. As soon as you arrive at Bdr Tasik Selatan, just go to the ticketing counter and buy the first available bus to Cameron Highlands . On my return trip, just buy the bus ticket at the Tanah Rata Bus terminal 1 day in advance. I took the Perak Transit bus which give a senior citizen discount so the ticket was cheaper.

  4. Oh KM thanks a lot on your sharing , i actually book a place to stay at Camerons & Just 'stumbled' on your blog post much later in the night when looking up info.on Tanah Rata!

Your accomodation is very economical, is it really RM80 for 3 nights? (so good rate)

Anyway i plan to take the seafood noodles at Brinchang & could try the 'Organic Steamboat' there
Probably try Uncle Chow Kopitiam as a breakfast option at TR.

Well could always meet up when im free
    Nice meeting you online

  5. I stayed in a hostel in Tanah Rata which offered dorm beds (4 or 6 bed room) , each dorm bed costs Rm25 - Rm30 per night . For family members, you could opt for a double bed room in a 2 to 3 star hotel which cost around Rm80 -Rm100 per night . Yes, the charcoal fire steam boat in Brinchang taste better. A taxi ride from Tanah rata to Brinchang cost Rm10 one way. Bus is Rm2 per ride but waiting time is 1 hr !

  6. Is there a food court with hawker stalls at Tanah Rata ? The roti canai at Sri Brinchang restaurant in TR. is nice?

Initially plan to go alone but invited a friend to follow - im up for some work actually but overnight to enjoy CH!

    - hope to try fruit pancake or visit Lord's Cafe

  7. Besides the Tanah Rata Bus Terminal, there is a food court but not many eatery stalls operating ! You can enjoy roti canai as there a number of Indian restaurants (shop house type) in Tanah Rata. Many hawker / eatery stalls serving spicy Malay food in Tanah Rata, price is reasonable Rm6-8 for a plate of fried rice or stir fried mixed vegetables or tom yam soup !
