Once in Hatyai - Always in Hatyai My 8 or 9 visits to Hatyai |
For the past 10 days, having visited Bangkok, Sukhothai, Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai, it was time for our group to head back to Hatyai by taking a sleeper train departing Bangkok at 15.30 and expecting to arrive in Hatyai at 05.25. Due to a Malaysian public holiday (Thaipusam) which falls on Monday 21 Jan, all the KTM train tickets from Padang Besar to KL Sentral were sold out on that day, so our group had to put up 2 nights in Hatyai !
The Bangkok train arrived in Hatyai Junction station in the early morning at around 06.00 and our group took a morning walk & checked into The Aree Hatyai Hostel (a family room for 6, ensuite).
Our final day in Hatyai - Tuk Tuk hire (800bht- each pay 160Bht) in Hatyai covering visits to the following touristy places:
1) Lord Brahma Complex
2) Cable Car & Hatyai Municipal Park
3) Guan Yin Temple
4) Sleeping Buddha
1) Brahman Shrine / Cable Car Ride
2) Hatyai Cable Car
4) Buddha Statute (Phra Buddha Mongkol Mahrajaj) & Hatyai Cable Car station
