Day 2 - Day tour to Damnoen Saduak & Amphawa Floating Market & Maeklong Railway Market (80-100km from Bangkok
For our Day 2 in Bangkok, our hostel booked a licensed taxi (1,800Bht for 5) from 09.30 > 16.00 for our group to visit the following touristy places located outside of Bangkok :
1) Damnoensaduak Floating Market
2) Amphawa Floating Msrket
3) Maeklong Railway Market
For Maeklong Railway Market, you can choose to take a mini van from Sai Tai Mai bus terminal or Mo Chit Bus Station, one way ticket is 70bht.

1) Damnoensaduak Floating Market - a 2 hour motorized boat ride for 5 people costs 6,000Bht (each pay 1,200Bht); the boat passed through 3-4 canals, a stopover in a coconut nectar processing farm & a Thai temple. I believe it is probably much more cheaper to sign up with a travel agency in Bangkok to join a group our to visit the Floating Market & the Maeklong Railway Market !

2) Amphawa Floating Market - given the close proximity of this Floating Market to Maeklong Railway Market, tourists can take a songthaew from the main junction of Maeklong and visit Amphawa Floating Market; a 10-15 minutes drive from the town center ! The place was deserted during the mid-day at the time of my visit ! Our taxi driver was happy to bring us to this less popular Floating Market given that we had ample time to see the Maeklong Railway Market !
3) Maeklong Railway Market - our arrival was an hour earlier so our group had a lunch at a nearby eatery stall and spent the rest of our time at the Railway market awaiting for the 14.30 slow train to arrive; this place was very congested & packed with tourists the moment the slow train inched her way to the Maeklong station !
