Day 3 Monday Oct 31 2022 - checked out from my homestay in my brother Hong's house in Sembawang & stayed for additional 2 nights in a hotel in Lor 16, Geylang; visited two major tourist attractions ie Sentosa Singapore & Bayfront area ie Marina Bay Sands Hotel, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, a glimpse of Gardens by The Bay & an evening stroll along the main road of Geylang.
1) Arriving at the Aljunied MRT station from Sembawang after checking out from my homestay in my brother Hong's HDB flat in Canberra Road, Singapore & a 700m walk to Hotel 81 Palace located in Lor 16, Geylang.
2) Due to our early arrival (08.00) at the hotel, (but express check-in was allowed at 11.00) we decided to leave our luggage at the hotel reception room for a later check-in in the afternoon & went to a nearby eatery stall for our breakfast before going to Sentosa Island ! Room tariff S$80 for a standard queen room.

3) MRT train ride from Aljunied MRT station > Outram Park (transit) > HarbourFront MRT station - to visit Sentosa Singapore
4) Arriving at the HarbourFront MRT station, VivoCity Shopping Mall, 1, HarbourFront Walk, Singapore; upon arrival at the MRT station, we walked towards VivoCity Mall & took an excavator up to the 3rd floor & using our MRT card, we boarded a Sentosa Express (Monorail) to Resort World Station, our 1st stop !

6) Resort World, Sentosa Singapore - it was Monday morning when I made a visit to Sentosa, observed lesser crowd in this popular resort of Singapore notably China tourists due to travel restrictions imposed by their government !

18) After the Sentosa Singapore visit, we took a MRT from HarbourFront MRT Station > Outram Park (transit) > Aljunied MRT Station & walked to Hotel 81 Palace in Lor 16, Geylang & collected our luggage, room key & took a short rest before venturing out to Marina Sands Shopping Mall & Hotel !

22) Casino, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore - I don't have a deep pocket so I don't bother to enter & try my luck here ! Saved the money & enjoy a bowl of fish porridge instead in a food court !
23) ArtScience Museum, Singapore - located within the integrated resort of Marina Bay Sands in the Downtown Core of the Central Area in Singapore; a museum where Art Meets Science through a blend of art, science, design, media, architecture & technology

27) Helix Bridge - the Double Helix Bridge is a pedestrian bridge linking Marina Centre with Marina South in the Marina Bay Area in Singapore
28) From the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, there is a no-covered walkway to the Gardens by The Bay ! A short cut ! As it was getting late in the afternoon, we decided to re-visit Gardens of The Bay next morning !
29) After the Marina Bay Sands visit, both of us took a MRT from Bayfront station > Bugis station (transit) > Aljunied station.
30) Makan Makan (Eating) - my simple dinner at an eatery stall opposite the Aljunied MRT station - each of us ordered a plate of economy mixed rice with vegetables & meat, totalled S$8.30 for two !
31) Walkabout in Geylang - after the dinner, as the night is still young, my wife & myself took an evening stroll along the Geylang main road - what a starry starry night in this red district of Singapore ! I am not a mid-night cowboy so do not expect me to loiter around in any of the Geylang lanes especially during the wee hours of the night !
