" My Staycation & Jalan Jalan (Walkabout) free & easy visit to Kota Damansara, Selangor on Wednesday Sept 15 2021 (o8.30>15.00) travelling by Rapid KL LRT & MRT trains from SS15, Subang Jaya > Pasar Seni > Surian & return, also to meet up with my new travel buddies, KF Wong & Thompson Tham; my 2nd outdoor trip after a National Lockdown (Movement Control Order / Emergency) imposed by the Malaysian Government on May 6 2021 due to a spike in Covid-19 cases, a National Vaccination campaign is currently being implemented by the Malaysian Government (Phase 1 started in Feb 2021) Selangor (my home state) is now placed under the National Recovery Phase 2 (NRP2) starting Sept 10 2021 which permits individuals with vaccination digital certificate or card for cross district travels, dine-in  in restaurants, hotel accommodation & homestay, outdoor sport & activities within the same state " 

Total expenses incurred (LRT & MRT train rides): Rm3.30 x 2 = Rm6.60 (US$1.60 senior citizen discount). The distance from Subang Jaya (my home place) > Kota Damansara is approx 16km. 

My travel buddies, KF Wong & Thompson Tham; the 3 Klang Valley musketeers who showed up in Kota Damansara on the 1st week of the National Recovery Phase 2 in our home state of Selangor ! 

The start of my Rapid KL LRT train ride from SS15, Subang Jaya > Pasar Seni & then by MRT train to Surian, Kota Damansara (08.30>09.45) - our meet up point.  

1) Sunway Giza Mall, No 2, Jalan PJU 5/14, Kota Damansara, Selangor - bright, bustling complex with retail shops, eateries & market stalls for food & housewares etc; observed lower shopping traffic in major shopping malls, closures of some F & B outlets & retail stalls, most F & B business relying on takeaways rather than dine-in at this transitional phase .... 

2) Sunway Nexis, No 1, Jalan PJU 5/1, Kota Damansara, Selangor - an integrated commercial hub encompassing retail, F & B, work, SOHO & leisure 

3) Kota Damansara town - located in Petaling Jaya, a new township spread across 4,000 acres, a state seat constituency which is sandwiched between Subang & Petaling Jaya - our group's  leisure walk around Central Park & Neighbourhood Food Court surrounding area ! 

4) Tropicana Gardens Mall, 29, Unit CC, 2A Persiaran Surian, Tropicana Indah, Petaling Jaya, Selangor 

5) Kelab Golf Seri Selangor, Persiaran Damansara Indah, Petaling Jaya 

Our group's lunch in Restoran Ten Noodle, Kota Damansara, Selangor - a treat from KF Wong, each of us savored a large bowl of pork noodle soup, taste good, great company & after the lunch, we parted for home & look forward to another meet up in the near future to visit a few more touristy places in the Klang Valley in the coming months !

Mid-Autumn (Moon Cake) Festival - in 2021, the Mid-Autumn Festival will fall on Sept 21 (Tuesday), a Chinese traditional ceremony where the custom of eating mooncakes, enjoying the bright full moon & taking part in the lantern parade, normally lasts for 3 to 7 days; traditional moon cakes made locally here are single yolk white lotus paste, single yolk pandan paste, double yolk lotus paste & red bean paste with citrus, the snow skin versions are also popular, I enjoyed eating the 5 kernels or mixed nuts moon cakes !

Tuesday Sept 21 2021 (20.00>22.00) - I spent 2 hours of my evening watching the live telecast of the Mid-Autumn (Moon Cake) Festival in China directed by CCTV4 channel - very entertaining indeed !
