Malaysia (Pre Covid 19 - Reminisce My Good Old Days - The 10 Best Places to Visit in Spain & I) - July 2021

" Spain, a country on Europe's Iberian Peninsula, includes 17 autonomous regions with diverse geography & cultures. Capital city, Madrid is home to the Royal Palace & Prado Museum, housing works by European masters. Segovia has a medieval castle (the Alcazar) & an intact Roman aqueduct. Catalonia's capital, Barcelona is defined by Antoni Gaudi's whimsical modernist landmarks like the Sagrada Familia church "  

Roman heritage, Spanish Empire (1492 > 1976), Spanish villas & castles, Spanish style bull-fighting, Iberian culture, Mediterranean climate, Barcelona Football Club (1899), Spanish tortilla, tapas, olive oil & wine; salsa & flamenco music, Antoni Gaudi's Catalan modernism works ... say Hola ! Hola ! Hola when in Spain ! Spain tourist attractions are world famous hence my strong desire to see Spain during my Good Old Days ! 

I had so far made 3 "Hola" visits to Spain. My 1st visit was in May 2011 to Barcelona (via Paris) & the main purpose was to visit the famous architectural landmarks of Antoni Gaudi's Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila, Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, La Rambla boulevard & the port city of Barcelona. In May 2012, I visited Madrid (also made an overland visit by bus from Madrid to visit Lisbon & Sintra of Portugal), Toledo, Seville, Granada, Cordoba & Algeciras (visiting neighboring Gibraltar, ferry crossing to Tangier & a train trip to Fez, Morocco). In May 2014, I made a stopover visit to Barcelona (joined a hostel's morning walking tour to Gaudi's works) before heading to Andorra, Nice, Cannes (southern France), Monte Carlo (Monaco), Italy (Florence, Pisa & Venice) & San Marino.
