Malaysia (Pre Covid 19 - Reminisce My Good Old Days - The 10 Best Places to Visit in Malaysia & I) - July 2021



" Malaysia (my home country) is a Southeast Asian country occupying parts of the Malay Peninsula & the island of Borneo, its known for its beaches, rainforests & mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian & European cultural influences; Malaysia comprises 13 states & 3 federal territories; The capital, Kuala Lumpur is home to colonial buildings, busy shopping districts such as Bukit Bintang & skyscrapers such as the iconic 45.1m tall Petronas Twin Towers "

The 10 Best Places to Visit in Malaysia (my home country) as highlighted in touropia's travel video are (a sense of guilt here though I am an ardent traveller, I have yet to visit these 2 Best Places ie Mulu National Park & Perhentian Islands) in my home country but I will certainly bear in mind when travelling inter-state to these 2 places after our New Normal life, caused by Covid-19 pandemic returns to Normal ! :

The Good News - reopening of 3 Thai islands (Samui, Pha-ngan & Tao) set for July 15 2021 for foreign tourists under the "Samui Plus Model" scheme recently announced by the Thai Government - my last visit to Phuket, Koh Samui, Phi Phi Island & Krabi was in June 2013, perhaps it is time for me to make another visit to have a suntan in these beautiful beaches of sunny Southern Thailand when the overland border crossing between Malaysia & Thailand is normalised in a not too distant future !
