Malaysia (Covid-19 & Eating) Oct 2020

The Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) imposed by the Malaysian Government (Sept 14 > Nov 9 2020) has led to the adoption of the following SOP (Standard Operating Procedure):

1) Gyms to operate normally

2) Dine-in restaurants are allowed & limited to 2 individuals but for big table, 4 individuals are allowed; takeaways, drive throughs & deliveries are encouraged

3) Only 2 from a household are allowed to leave home at one time to buy essentials

4) Crossing of state borders are not allowed except for emergencies & workers with letter of approval from employers

5) Government is encouraging employers to prioritise working from home

6) Food businesses allow to operate from 6am to 10 pm

7) All kind of tourism to areas inside & outside areas placed under CMCO are not allowed

My Makan Makan (Eating) during the Movement Control Order (MCO) & Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) Sept & Oct 2020 period; due to the CMCO ruling, most  businesses in Kopitiam (coffee shops), eatery outlets & restaurants are gravely affected due to the movement restrictions caused by Covid-19  outbreak resulting with fewer customers eating out, preferring takeaways & food deliveries !

During the MCO & CMCO period, a number of urban & suburban households ordered their food using the services of GrabFood & FoodPanda for home food deliveries ! So you are still able to eat the food you love eg pizza, burgers, sushi, fried chicken, pasta, pies etc without stepping out of your homes, rain or shine, day or night !
