1) The start of my early morning car ride from Subang Jaya > Serdang Raya > Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park via the Guthrie Corridor Expressway
2) Kelip Kelip Kampung Kuantan Firefly Park, Selangor (these magical fireflies are only found at two places in the world, tourists can embark on a boat ride in the silence of the night to watch thousands of fireflies lighting up the surrounding, like a Christmas tree, twinkling & dazzling amongst the red mangrove - a spectacular sight indeed) - due to the Movement Control Order, the Park is temporarily closed - so all we could do is just take a few pictures outside of the Park entrance for remembrance ! I recalled taking a 30 minutes river boat ride along the Sungei Selangor to witness one of the 8 natural wonders on earth & watching fireflies (kelip Kelip in Malay also called lightning bugs) feeding on mangrove trees during one of my evening boat rides in the late 1990's ! My Good Old Days !
3) Kuala Selangor - the name of the town means estuary of Selangor river, formerly the capital of the Sultanate of Selangor during the early 18th century, it was relocated to Kuala Langat & then Klang in the 19th century.
4) Dataran Melawati, Kuala Selangor
5) Street Art, Kuala Selangor town
6) Sky Mirror, Kuala Selangor - a "mysterious island" discovered by locals in 2015 & is now well known & popular all over Malaysia ! Tourists as far as China, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore & India are coming over to witness this unique Malaysia version of "Bolivia's Sky Mirror"; indicative sky mirror tour price for July 2020 is Rm80 (US$18.60 for Malaysian adult) & Rm60 (children), foreign visitor is Rm120 (US$27.90).
8) Bukit Melawati Hill, Kuala Selangor - the highest point in Kuala Selangor, perched on its top is a hundred year old Lighthouse with panoramic views overlooking the Straits of Malacca & its surrounding, there are 2 species of monkeys here, one is the gentle & tame Silver Leaf monkey, another is the slightly wild Macaques !
9) A short tram ride from front entrance to Bukit Melawati Hilltop, Kuala Selangor - Rm3 per pax for a tram ride, tram services only available during weekend & public holiday, cars & other vehicles are allowed to enter during the weekdays only !
