Here goes my " Small Town " story ...
1) Sungai way town - during the colonial era, Sungei Way was a tin mining area; the first sign of settlement was in 1870; I lived in Sungei Way for 2 years (1976-1978) before moving to my new home in Subang Jaya in 1980; the story of a small town by KM ... my good old days !
2) Pasar Seri Setia (Wet Market), Sungai Way, Petlaling Jaya, Selangor
3) Sungai Way Chinese Primary School
4) Leng Eng Tian Khiew Omg Tai Tay Temple, Sungai Way, Petaling Jaya, Selangor - this 38 years old temple was relocated from an old site to the present location in 2012.
5) Kam Ying Temple, Sungai Way, Petaling Jaya, Selangor
6) Tasik Taman Jaya, Petaling Jaya, Selangor - one of the few lakes in the heart of Petaling Jaya; this is also the venue for Petaling Jaya's annual Chap Goh Meh festival (Chinese Valentine Day) where the tossing of mandarin oranges take place around the lake !
7) Dataran Petaling Jaya, Selangor - major sporting activities for local residents are held here
8) Amcorp Mall & PJX Complex, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, near Dataran Petaling Jaya
9) A & W Restaurant, Petaling Jaya, Selangor - one of the oldest drive in restaurant in Petaling Jaya serving fast food like burgers, French fries etc & the favorite A & W Root Beer drink !
10) Taman Jaya LRT Station, Petaling Jaya
5) Thai Buddhist Chetawan Temple, Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya, Selangor - built in 1957 and officiated by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand at that time !
6) Poh Lum Fatt Yuen Buddhist Temple, Jalan Lembah, Section 5, Petaling Jaya, Selangor - a Buddhist nunnery located along Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya.
