Day 4 - Day 6 (Feb 26 - 28 2019) - stayed for 3 nights in Kunming; my last visit to Kunming was on a package tour with my colleague in 1998 (visited Stone Forest, Yuan Tong Si Temple, Longmen)
Given that we had two & the half days in Kunming, we decided to skip visiting Stone Forest and instead focusing our visits to various tourist attractions in and around Kunming city mainly by Metro & public buses. The places we visited were:
1) Garden of the World Horticultural Expo
2) Dianchi
3) Yunnan Nationalities Village
4) Cuihu Park
5) Yunnan Military Academy
6) Nanping Pedestrian Street
7) Flowers & Birds Market
High speed train from Nanning > Kunming South 09.34>14.35 (CNY262.50+CNY30 online booking fee) - 720km; top speed 250km per hour

1) Garden of the World Horticultural Expo, Kunming, Yunnan - admission fee CNY35 (Senior); Sea of Flowers & Park Avenue is 850m long & 40m wide, 3 million pots of 40 varieties of colorful flowers are planted in Spring & Summer, different colors in Autumn & Winter & full of fragrances
