1) Yunnan Military Academy, Kunming - founded in 1909 in Kunming & ceased operation in 1935 due to the Sino-Japanese War; enrolled over 9,000 trainees; well known military leaders graduated here were General Zhu De, Ye Jianying & Zhou Baozhong
