" My Jalan Jalan (Walkabout) & Makan Makan (Eating) day visit together with my Klang travel buddies to Malaysia Chinese Museum, Broga Sak Dato Temple / Museum & a tour of Tiger Milk Mushroom showroom, Selangor on Monday 17th Sept 2018 "
Monday 17th Sept 2018 is a public holiday in Malaysia (replacing Sunday 16th Sept which is the Malaysia Day) and also an off day for my Klang buddies ! Hence this day trip to three places of interests near Klang Valley ! Together with Wong & Tee, Chim drove his vehicle from Klang to pick me up in Subang Jaya for our first Jalan Jalan (Walkabout) visit to the Tiger Milk Mushroom showroom in Balakong - a really interesting & educational visit for our group !
Next, our group visited the Malaysia Chinese Museum (Huazong) which is located along the Sungei Besi Highway in Sri Kembangan (Serdang) a few kilometers from Balakong. The historical artefacts, documents & pictorial presentations / exhibits in this high tech museum gives the visitors an excellent grasp on the history of Chinese from the early 14th century to the Japanese rule & emergency period till Malaya achieved her independence from the British in 1957 ! A really interesting visit for our group - a lesson on The Story of Chinese Migrants in Malaya (1800's - 1900's) unfolded & narrated in front of all the visitors in this high tech museum which was opened to the public in June 2018 !
After the museum visit, our group had a seafood (ikan bakar - grilled fish) lunch in Broga and our last visit of the day is Broga Sak Dato Temple, a popular tourist attraction site in Selangor.
Another "glory" day for this senior citizen group visiting or re-visiting places of interests in our home country ! Malaysia is truly Asia !
