D-9 - Tuesday 16th Jan 2018 - the most memorable day for this Middle East free & easy trip in my travelling life (now an oldie & a backpacker) giving me the golden opportunities to visit these two magnificent buildings, both interior & exterior in Abu Dhabi ie the Emirates Palace Hotel & Sheik Zayed Grand mosque (free admission); just simply awesome, stunning, elegance and a class of its own ..... so pleasing to admire & look at these outstanding master pieces of architectural buildings in this era ! A must see when you are in Abu Dhabi !
1) Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi - opened in 2005, world 3rd most expensive hotel ever built; grand design, 302 superior rooms & 92 suites, most iconic landmark in Abu Dhabi, indicative room tariff for this 5 star hotel in Jan 2018 - superior room Rm1,500-1,800 (US$375-450) & suites Rm3,400-4,000 (US$850-1,000) per night; inside the Palace, all the décors are in gold color !
2) Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi - 3rd largest mosque in the world ! Named after the founder & 1st President of UAE. This impressive monument was built in 1996-2007. Magnificent architectural design, can accommodate 41,000 worshippers !
