As soon as I arrived at my hostel in Belfast, luck was with me as I was able to join a day tour to the scenic Antrim coast & The Giant Causeway ( an UNESCO World Heritage site) departing the hostel in 15 minutes time (10.00am). A big win for me ! I came to Belfast to see The Giant Causeway despite the tedious bus journey from London. So another dream was fulfilled.
Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland has a population of around 280,000. In the 70's saw the worst troubles in Northern Ireland due to the conflicts between the Catholic & Protestant populations. It is interesting to note that the AMS Titanic was built in Belfast in 1912.
