Zhangjiajie train station is quite near to the Zhanjiajie city and is closed to the cable car station. So on arrival, I decided to put up a night near the train station instead of staying in Zhanjiajie Zhongtian International Youth Hostel which I had earlier booked online. It was drizzling most of the time when I was in Zhangjiajie.
From the hostel, I walked to the Zhangjiajie cable car station and took a cable car (CNY186 inclusive of internal minivan rides within the resort) ride to the Wullingyuan scenic area, now called Zhangjiajie. This was the longest cable car ride I had taken for a mount resort climb.
