Expenses incurred in Bratislava, Slovakia (1 day):
Hostel - Euro$11.50
Food - Euro$3.00
Total expenses - Euro$14.50
Bratislava is a small city with a charming old town. I had a full day to explore the major tourist sights ie Bratislava castle, the Main Square, The Parliament House etc.
As the town area is small, you could walk in leisure to the various tourist sites . The walking tour took about 4-5 hours so I had plenty of free time in the afternoon and ended up doing a window shopping at the modern Tesco Department store near my hostel.
The next morning, I took an Eurolines bus (using the bus pass) to Vienna, Austria

Bratislava is in Central Europe so if you are visiting Budapest (Hungary) and Prague (Czech Republic), do stop by in Bratislava for a walking tour in Old Town, the banks of Danube River; unwind and relax in cafes in Main Square. Bratislava is the builder of German Volkswagen (VW) cars in Europe.
