It's that time of the year (season spinning again kissing goodbye to the Wood Dragon Year of 2024). January 29 > 30 2025 is the beginning of the year of Wood Snake in Chinese Lunar New Year (Spring Festival) 2025 ! The Snake is the sixth animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese Zodiac & is associated with wisdom, intuition & strategic growth but also secretive, cunning & sometimes ruthless ! I was born a Tiger & my wife a Dragon ! So quite often, we had this Dragon & Tiger fight (arguing in a gentle manner over big principles, small things & the subject of change in this digital age impacting on senior citizens etc) in our daily LIFE ! But this also means ie quotes "one will not dominate the other, just as the forces of yin & yang balance each other in the universe; the Dragon symbolises the yang of the universe & the Tiger symbolises the yin forces of the universe". I hope the Year of Snake predictions are very much in your favour (experiencing excellent fortune especially for those who born in the year of Rat) in 2025 blending well with your Chinese Zodiac sign ! But as a senior citizen (I am 74 going on to 75 comes May 2025), I do not ask for more as long as I have these 4 things in me ie eat well, walk well, sleep well & have a good bowel movement in most of the days in 2025 & last but not the least, travel well ! Comes Feb 10 > March 2 2025, three of my travel buddies & myself will be heading to Thailand (Bangkok & Udon Thani), Laos (Vientiane, Vang Vieng & Luang Prabang) & China (Xishungbana, Pu'er & Kunming) ! Happy travelling, KM !
During the CNY festive season, a number of the premier shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur & Klang Valley are adorned with cascading red lanterns, floral theme decoration, attractive traditional elements & historic designs enticing shoppers to the mall, carrying a great feeling of CNY festive mood & joy ! This had enthused me & my wife to stroll the main atriums of a few of the the shopping malls & touristy places in downtown Kuala Lumpur.
For the month of Jan 2025, I made a few Little Pleasure outings & a little eating together with my wife / sisters / travel buddies to Sunway Pyramid Mall, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur Mall, Fahrenheit Mall, Pavilion Bukit Jalil Mall, Pavilion Damansara Heights Mall, The Exchange TRX Mall, Garden Mall, Mid Valley Megamall, Suria KLCC Mall, Subang Parade, Petronas Twin Towers, Kwai Chai Hong (Little Demon Alley), REXKL, Petaling street (Chinatown) & Loke Yew street prior to the Chinese New Year.
For this 15 days Spring Festival in January / February 2025 (Jan 29 > Feb12). I like to take this opportunity to wish my readers a happy & joyful Chinse New Year ! Here goes my funny cum a Snake Year message liner for this 2025 Spring Festival ....
Children like Humpty Dumpty & love to sit on the Great Wall. Humpty Dumpty loves the Spring Fall ! Humpty Dumpty has a windfall after seeing Musang King durians in abundance having a great fall & dropping on the floor ! The small, thorny & yellow creamy Musang King durian is the king of tropical fruits after all ! After the Spring Fall, who is the fairest of them all ? Probably not the cannon balls but maybe you cast your vote freely on these 3 finger food / steamboat (my imagination at this stage) if offered in the overseas market ie the charcoal-fired Emperor grade Donald Duck rainbow trout fish burger or Russian style Indian mango Pudding dessert or Chinese Sichuan mala style spicy seafood steamboat added with high quality Sea cucumbers, fish maws & abalone; needless to say, these three "fine dining" & restaurant food would like to compete & hope to be the "fairest in price" among all in the world food arena ! No doubt, you are the best judge for this classic "Snake & Ladder" board game contest once and for all !
More important, avoid at all costs that the world of 2025 does not suffer from a drastic fall due to adverse climatic changes, geo-political tensions & nuclear threat ! A wake up call for all the citizens of the world. For what we know, when the mother earth is in total ruins & gone, it will be hard to put all the human races living harmoniously like before & for sure no one could like to go back to the Jurassic Park of yesteryears ! If this catastrophe happens, gone were the Petronas Twin Towers, Queen Victoria Garden, The Bridge of River Kwai & The Tokyo Disney Land. I see and hear you all & once again convey my blessings to you all ! A Happy Happy Chinese New Year in the Snake Year of 2025 ! The beginning of a new season & the world spinning again to a new high !

My Little LIFE Pleasure (Sunday Jan 26 2025) - my solo pre-CNY evening visit (by Rapid KL LRT trains) to Petronas Twin Towers, Suria KLCC Mall & the surrounding area; as it was over a weekend, both these touristy places were packed with shoppers & tourists mainly from China, India & western countries.
1) Petronas Twin Towers, Suria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur City Centre as viewed from the front of Suria KLCC Mall along Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur; an interlinked pair of 88-storey supertall skyscrapers (452m high) in Kuala Lumpur, a magnificent piece of modern structural engineering, admission tickets to Sky bridge & 86 storey Observation Deck, a must see & visit when in Kuala Lumpur.
