Day 4 - Sunday Oct 1 2023 - after an overnight stay in Alor Setar, our group checked out of the hotel early (06.45) & headed to Sungei Patani for a noodle / porridge breakfast followed by a visit to Pantai Merdeka & Kampung Agong (along the way), a countryside theme park, located about 15 to 20 minutes from Butterworth, Penang. Hotel check in was around 13.30 in Bukit Mertajam, Penang

1) Sungei Petani, Kedah - my groups's 1st stopover for breakfast, largest city in Kedah, located 55km south of Alor Setar & 33km from George Town, Penang. My last brief visit to this town was in Sept 2022 !
2) Clock Tower, Sungei Patani,, Kedah - a famous landmark, 12m high, built in 1936 as a gift to commemorate the reign of the Majesty King George V.
3) My group's breakfast in Medan Selera, Jalan Dewa, Sungei Patani
4) Pantai (Beach) Merdeka, Kuala Muda, Kedah - located in the mouth of Muda river, the only sandy beach in mainland Kedah, a tourist attraction for beach goers & family outing.
5) Kampung Agong, Kampung Bakar Kapor, Penaga, Penang - the nickname of the land founder favourably known by local villagers as "Agong", a beautiful coconut grove / paddy fields theme park (traditional kampung / Malay village setting), located 15 -20 minutes from Butterworth. Admission fee Rm10 (US$2.10), bicycle hire & homestay facilities are available. My 1st time visit !

After an almost 45 minutes of "roaming" the Kampung Agong theme park, we left the place in a joyful mood & our next destination is Bukit Mertajam - our final night stay before heading home !
