1) The Old Charm of Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur (comprising of 7 villages) - Malaysia (formerly Malaya) was under British rule from 1826 > 1957; Kuala Lumpur was founded in 1859 as a mining settlement & became capital of Selangor in 1880 & then capital of Federated Malay States, the Federation of Malaya & now Malaysia.
2) Colonial Malay houses in the 7 villages of Kampung Baru; the building designs of some of these old houses here dated back to 1900 when Malays first settled in Masjid Jamek & then moved to Kampung Baru, the northern part of Kuala Lumpur. Selamat Datang (Welcome) to Kampung Baru !
3) Pintasan Saloma (a new pedestrian bridge linking Kampung Baru to KLCC), officially opened in Feb 5 2020; a great place for shutterbugs !
4) Klang River & the 6 lane Ampang - Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway underneath the Saloma link bridge separating Kampung Baru & Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur; the new Saloma link bridge was built to bridge the gap between the 2 places !
