Map of Sitiawan, Perak |
Sitiawan (227 km from Kuala Lumpur) - due to it's close proximity to Pangkor island & Lumut Port & Royal Malaysian Naval Base, Sitiawan has become a popular town in the Manjung district of Perak. The Tua Pek Kong Temple is another major tourist attraction here.
Fuchow dialect is widely spoken in Sitiawan. Popular Fuchow food are red wine vermicelli, sweet & sour broth cooked with fish maw & Kong Piang (Fuchow buns baked in hot clay ovens)
There are a number of 2-3 stars hotels in Sitiawan and the room rates range from RM80-120 (US$20-US30) for a deluxe room. An ideal place for tourists to have a short holiday & stay overnight to unwind & relax if you are driving from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Penang to visit the various tourist attractions in the nearby Sitiawan / Pangkor island areas .
