China has a strong Buddhist heritage & culture hence the country has many temples built centuries ago and many have become major tourist attractions (renowned for their traditional architecture) and popular places of worship by their populace & overseas tourists . After all these years of travelling to China, I realized that I had probably visited a number of ancient temples in major provinces of China - of the top ten temples identified, I had visited six of them. I hope to visit the remaining three ie Nanshan Temple, Sanya (Hainan), Jokhang Temple, Lhasa (Tibet), Lingyin Temple, Hangzhou (Zhejiang) & Daxiangguo Temple, Kaifeng (Henan) in the near future !
