My Staycation & Jalan Jalan (Walkabout) free & easy day trip to Pantai Remis, Sasaran Art & Tanjung Karang, Sekinchan, Sungei Besar, Sabak Bernam on Sunday April 25 2021, (06.30 > 16.30) travelling by 2 vehicles together with my brother Weng + wife & daughters & sisters Inn, Peng & Mei & my wife (total 10 people); my 39th outdoor trip after the enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO 1.0) by the Malaysian Government on March 18 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic; MCO 2.0 ended on March 4 2021 & revised to Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) on March 5 2021 banning inter-state border travels but allowing allowing inter-districts; my first visit to Pantai Remis (Jeram), Sasaran Art Park & Gallery, Pantai Kampung Sungei Kajang Baru (Tanjung Karang) & Sungai Besar town (Sabak Bernam) Selangor"

1) Pantai (Beach) Remis, Jeram, Kuala Selangor - Jeram is a fishing village, an hour drive from Kuala Lumpur city, home to Rainbow Sky Mirror jetty, Pantai Remis is a Kampung (Village) beach & a great place to catch stunning sun sets over the Straits of Malacca, the open air seafood market in front of the Pantai Remis sell a range of fresh seafood frequented mainly by locals & visitors from nearby urban towns.

2) Sasaran Art Park & Sasaran Art Galery, Jalan Sasaran, Sungei Buloh, Geram, Selangor - both the park & gallery were launched in May 2016, managed by Sasaran Art Association, had so far organised large scale international art festival every 3 years since 2008, the formation of the Art Gallery has brought art to the country side as most people believe art is a beautiful thing ! The existing building is currently undergoing some renovation & paint works & the art galley is closed at the time of our group's visit.

3) Pantai (Beach) Kampung Sungei Kajang, Tanjung Karang, Selangor - Tanjung Karang in English is "Cape of Corals", the town is divided by the Sungai Tengi at the middle but connected with a bridge, rice cultivation is a major agricultural activity here. Pantai Kampung Sungei Kajang is a popular beach in Tanjung Karang, an ideal place for family outings especially during the weekends !
4th Stop - Pantai Kampung Sungai Kajang, Tanjung Karang > Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam (approx 49km)
4) Sungai Besar Town, Sabak Bernam, Selangor - a principal town of Sabak Bernam District, Selangor, over 70% of the local populace are Malays, majority of the people working as farmers & fishermen, in padi & coconut planting & palm oil plantations.
5th Stop - Sungai Besar > Pantai Redang, Sekinchan, Sabak Bernam (approx 27km)
Pantai (Beach) Redang, Sekinchan - Sekinchan is famous for rice growing & paddy processing, local tourists enjoy coming here & the popular touristy places are ie a rice industry museum, Redang Beach, Nan Tian Temple, rice fields, fishing village of Bagan with many seafood restaurants, the area is also a shelter for migratory birds eg herons.
Small Eat - our group lunch in The Family Restoran, Sekinchan town, Sabak Bernam ie fish ball mi hoon soup & Loh Mee + barley drinks (a treat from brother Weng's family)

After almost 10 hours of Jalan Jalan (walkabout & driving) along the coastal roads from Pantai Remis right up to Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam, Selangor (approx 90km one way) & having visited 3 natural beaches ie Pantai Remis (Jeram), Pantai Kampung Sungei Kajang (Tanjung Karang) & Pantai Redang (Sekinchan) + Sasaran Art Park (cultural) + the towns of Sungai Besar & Sekinchan (for lunch), our group decided to head for home ! Another short & sweet Cuti Cuti Malaysia staycation (my little life pleasure) accomplished over a Sunday weekend during the Ramadan (Muslim fasting month) period ! A very pleasant coastal drive on the west coast of Peninsula Malaysia, not so stressful, lesser vehicles on the coastal roads (no toll) & lesser crowds too in public beaches during the Ramadan month. Home Sweet Home again after this wonderful inter-district travel under the Movement Control Order (MCO 2.0) within my home state of Selangor !
